What I'd like you to know about me and my other pets/hobbies

Me Me

I am a 23 year old vet school dropout...I completed a year of veterinary school before deciding I hate school tooo much and that its really just not what I wanted to do with my life. I am engaged to the man of my dreams, the former owner of E2MacPets.  He and I will be getting married in June and hope to eventually run our own pet store.  As you should already know I am an animal lover and a breeder of mice and leopard geckos...I also have several other pets who you will "meet" farther down this page.  Besides animals I love horse-back riding, fishing, watching movies/tv, reading, hanging out with friends, playing video games, and Canada...  My favorite movies include MANY things.......a few fav's off the top of my head include When Harry Met Sally, both Pirates of the Carribean movies, Tommy Boy, the Jerk, Moulin Rouge, What Lies Beneath, Benny and Joon....  My favorite authors are Stephen King and Patricia Cornwell.  I would kill for a 60's mustang!  My favorite pro sports teams are the Chiefs, the Steelers, and the Penguins (I'm always up to watching a good football or hockey game).  I hate politics in general and try to avoid any and all political discussion.  Anyway...I'm going to wrap up this ramble for now...if you have any questions for me...let me know! :-)

Foster Foster

Foster is an Australian shepherd/cattle dog cross. He was neglected and I'm fairly sure abused as a puppy (I adopted him shortly after he turned 1...his previous owner had 10+ dogs all of which were seized...many of them had to be euthanized b/c they were aggressive or EXTREMELY fearful) and as a result is a bit neurotic... When I first got him he was afraid of pretty much everyone and everything...now he loves all women and while afraid of most men at first, will quickly come to love them if they take a little time to try to get to know him. He is afraid of kids in general.....but he's never really spent much time around them to have a chance to get to know any. He also wants to eat vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers.....why is absolutely beyond me... At any rate....he is an excellent dog who doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body and really just wants to please everyone (even the people he's afraid of). He is also a very intelligent dog who learns quickly and tries to make you think he wasn't about to do smt when you catch him about to do smt you don't want him to do.........lol

Buie Buie

There's a funny story behind Buie (female dlh cat).......sophomore year of college I found an older kitten at the university horsefarm who was very out of place...so I brought her home. I took her to the vet a couple days after bringing her home and it turned out she was microchipped and had a home. I told my mom about the situation later (I was living at home during the summers at the time) and she FLIPPED out....yelled at me that I was NEVER to bring another animal into her house (this was after getting Foster and many of the leopard geckos...) and made it VERY clear to me. So anyway fast-forward a couple months to being at home for the summer and mom gives me a call while she's been out to get groceries.... "you are going to LOVE me!" is about the first thing she says........my response was basically "why?..." so she said to guess and my response this time was pretty much "you got me a cat didn't you?......." ...........oh yes.........she got me a cat.....and not just any cat....the little grey fluffy one that had been found the night before by the rescue organization and who had not yet been to the vet and who was completely CAKED in feces....fast forward again through a few months of vet visits, "anal seepage," and deworming to find out the vets hadn't been doing "full" fecals and her problem wasn't worms but bacteria, possibly coccidia, and possibly food allergies...at any rate, now she's a healthy 11 lb not so intelligent kitty who is still somewhat stinky......but I love her anyway :-P  .....by not so intelligent I really mean quite stupid.......it took her 3 months to figure out she could get over a baby gate.....and once she did....she climbed over it for about another 3 months before figuring out she could jump it........lol

Corona is a n adult male Kenyan Sand boa.  He is a very nifty little snake and I just love him :-)

Aquariums

I currently only have 1 aquarium, an ~2 1/2 to 3 gallon planted acrylic cube.  I will try to get pics up sometime soon.  The inhabitants are 1 pheonix rasboras (boraras merah), 1 pygmy cory (corydoras hastatus), 2 male dwarf crayfish (cambarellus schufeldti), 2 amano/japonica shrimp (caridina multidentata), and some malaysian trumpet snails.  On top of this tank, Once Steve and I have our own place, we hope to start a large brackish tank with fiddler crabs, a small mudskipper species, bumblebee gobies, and freshwater flounder.
